JAMMU, Aug 4: A 15-year-old girl was killed while her mother is battling with life after they were bitten by a snake at their temporary residence in Trikuta Nagar area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, one Pooja (15) daughter of Chedi Ram and her mother identified as Ponia (45), both residents of Madhya Pradesh, at present residing at a ‘Jhuggi’ in Sector 4 of Trikuta Nagar, were bitten by a snake late last night when they were sleeping on the floor.
He said both mother and daughter were rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where Pooja was declared as brought dead by the doctors while her mother is under treatment and her condition is stated to be serious when the last reports came in.
