JAMMU, Sept 8: In continuous efforts of Sub-Division, R.S. Pura to eradicate menace of illegal sale, transportation and distillation of illicit liquor, today Bishnah Police established a routine nakka at village Dhinday Khurd.
During nakka checking, one person on seeing the nakka tried to dodge the cops but alert cops chased and apprehended him. During search of his belongings, police party recovered 14 liters of illicit liquor from his possession. In this regard, a case FIR No. 169/2018 U/S 48-A Excise Act has been registered at P/S Bishnah and further investigation of the case is going on.
Arrest and recovery was made by Inspector, Rajesh Sharma, SHO Police Station Bishnah under the supervision of SDPO, R S Pura Sourabh Prashar and SP Headquarters, Jammu Romesh Chander Kotwal.
