Birth anniversary of Sardar Patel celebrated across J&K

JAMMU, Oct 31: Different educational, political and other organizations here today celebrated the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallab Bhai Patel as National Unity Day. Sardar Patel is popularly known as the Iron Man of India.
Government MAM College Jammu commemorated the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallab Bhai Patel by remembering his contributions for securing the freedom of the country.
The birth anniversary of Sardar Vallab Bhai Patel was celebrated as National Unity Day at K.C College of Education. On this occasion a couple of activities were organized by the NSS wing of the college.

Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University vigorously participated in the pledge taking ceremony on National Unity Day to reinforce the institution’s dedication to preserve and strengthen unity, integrity and security of India on the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallab Bhai Patel.
NSS Wing and Literary Club of Dogra College of Education organized an essay writing competition on the eve of birth anniversary of Sardar Vallab Bhai Patel. Sardar Patel was instrumental in unifying India from small princely States.
To commemorate birth anniversary of Sardar Vallab Bhai Patel, a series of activities were organized at Government Degree College Bishnah in which NSS and NCC cadets along with students participated.
On the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallab Bhai Patel, a seminar was organized by NSS Unit of GDC Bhaderwah on the topic ‘Unity, Integrity and Security of India’.
To commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallab Bhai Patel, NSS and NCC volunteers of GDC Udhampur observed National Unity Day wherein floral tributes were paid to Sardar Patel.
Birth anniversary of Sardar Vallab Bhai Patel was celebrated at Government College for Women, Kathua as ‘Rashtriya Ekta Diwas’. On this occasion rich tributes were paid to the great leader.
NSS unit of Ramisht College of Education Basohli organized a symposium on the eve of National Unity Day in which all students of B.Ed took part.
National Unity Day was celebrated at GDC Kathua wherein NSS unit of the college paid tributes to Sardar Vallab Bhai Patel.
NSS Unit of Government Degree College R.S Pura celebrated National Unity Day wherein services of Sardar Vallab Bhai Patel for unifying the nation were lauded.
Rich Harvest School celebrated Rashtriya Ekta Diwas to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallab Bhai Patel. On this occasion, the students took a pledge to sincerely work for the unity, integrity and security of the nation.
To commemorate the 143rd birth anniversary of Sardar Vallab Bhai Patel, Salal Power Station celebrated ‘Rashtriya Ekta Diwas’ wherein NHPC employees and students from KV Jyotipuram participated. A pledge ceremony was organized on this occasion.
To pay rich tributes and to remember the services of first Deputy Prime Minister and first Home Minister of Independent India, Sardar Vallab Bhai Patel, J&K BJP organized ‘Run for Unity’ event. BJP State President, Ravinder Raina led the Run along with former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta, MP Lok Sabha Jugal Kishore Sharma, MP Rajya Sabha Shamsher Singh Manhas and others.
Rashtriya Ekta Diwas was also observed in Ramban to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallab Bhai Patel. On this occasion ‘Run for Unity’ was organised wherein MLA, Ramban, Neelam Kumar Langeh, Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Showkat Aijaz Bhat and others participated.
BJP Kashmir Displaced District along with BJYM organised ‘Run for Unity’ to remember Sardar Vallab Bhai Patel on his birth anniversary.
To commemorate the birth anniversary of first Home Minister of independent India, Sardar Vallab Bhai Patel BJP Manwal Unit celebrated National Unity Day to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallab Bhai Patel. A ‘Run for Unity’ event was organized on this occasion.
To commemorate on the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallab Bhai Patel which is celebrated as National Unity Day, a ‘Run for Unity’ was organized by district administration Udhampur which was flagged off by District Development Commissioner, Ravinder Kumar.

Chenab Valley Power Projects celebrated ‘National Unity Day’ and paid rich tributes to Sardar Vallab Bhai Patel on his birth anniversary.
National Highways Authority of India, Regional Officer, J&K celebrated Rashtriya Ekta Diwas at Ban Toll Plaza Jammu. On this occasion a 400 meter race was organized.
Various Battalions of CRPF celebrated National Integration Day and paid rich tributes to first Home Minister of India, Sardar Vallab Bhai Patel. In a programme at CRPF Group Centre Bantallab, M.P Bahuguna, DIG CRPF Jammu Sector Hqr apprised Officers, Subordinate Officers, Jawans as well as teacher of Kendriya Vidyalay Bantalab about the importance of this day.
