JAMMU, June 1: The Ministry of Home Affairs has appointed IGP Kashmir and senior IPS officer Vidhi Kumar Birdi as Inspector General in the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on deputation.

Birdi, a 2003-batch AGMUT cadre IPS officer, has been appointed against an existing vacancy in the CRPF in Level-14 of the pay matrix under the usual terms and conditions of the Central deputation, an order issued by the MHA said.
The Ministry has requested the Jammu and Kashmir administration to relieve the officer immediately to enable him to take up his new assignment at the Centre.
