JAMMU, Dec 11: Baldev Singh Billawaria, Chairman Public Health Sanitation Committee of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) took steps towards providing better development to the people of his Ward and started the construction of the lane in Ekta Vihar of ward no. 56 Gangyal. About 5.50 lakh rupees will be spent on this work.
This work was the old demand of the people which is being met. Talking to the people on the occasion, Billawaria said that the work being done by Municipal Corporation Jammu has now started appearing at the ground level and besides the drainage issue in the ward, other problems regarding electricity, water etc. are also being solved. Billawaria said that there is a regular supply of water in the Gangyal region, while the electricity problem has also come to an end and the shortages that are remaining will also be resolved by February 2020 till the cabling process is completed.
Billawaria said that he is continuously working to provide better development in the area and drains were also worked out at a cost of Rs. 5.50 crore whereas coal tar has also been laid in the Ward at a cost of Rs. 3.50 crore. While in the coming time, other development works worth about Rs 50 lakhs will also be started in Ward No. 56.
Talking about cleanliness, he told the people that at present there is not much problem of cleanliness in the Ward, while there is some problem of street lights which will be fixed in the coming two months as the tenders in this regard have been floated and new street lights will be installed in the Ward. He said that the people of the Ward should cooperate in the house numbering being done by the corporation and told that this numbering will be beneficial for them in the coming days because their identity in the corporation will be from this number and the complaint will also be registered by this number.
He also urged people to pay sanitation charges sincerely to the Ward Supervisor for cleanliness so as to provide better sanitation in the area. Ranjeet Singh, Parshotam Kumar, Rinku, Tejinder Singh, Hardeep Singh, Raju, Nirmal Singh, Ekta Vihar Gurdwara Pradhan . Amrik Singh and others were present on this occasion.
