JAMMU, Apr 4: Former Deputy Mayor, Jammu and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) senior leader, Baldev Singh Billawaria visited Sector-3 Ward 56 Gangyal today and listened to the demands of the residents of the locality.
The people highlighted the demands related to paver tiles on the road, street lights and other development related issues before Billawaria. They putforth the demand of installing iron grating on the drain along with paver tiles instead of black topping.
Speaking on the occasion, Billawaria said that the officers of the concerned departments will be instructed to immediately prepare the estimate for paver tiles on the road of the area and start the work as soon as possible. Regarding the demand for faulty street lights, Billawaria said that it will be brought to the notice of the Jammu Municipal Corporation Commissioner so that the demands can be met by installing street lights at adequate places. He also said that the present MLA Dr. Narinder Singh is committed to the development of the area and these demands will be brought to his notice and resolved as soon as possible.
Billawaria further said that the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi is making every effort to make the life of the people easy, comfortable and decent. He informed the people about the benefits of the recently re-launched Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban 2.0 (PMAY-U 2.0). He said that the objective of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana 2.0 is to provide safe and stable housing to every Indian citizen, the Government has included many new facilities and benefits, so that more and more people can take advantage of this scheme.
Billawaria praised the residents of Sector 3 Gangyal and said that the people of the area are fulfilling their responsibility towards cleanliness and cooperating with the Municipal Corporation in keeping the environment around them clean and beautiful. He said that the residents of the locality are playing their role in realizing the dream of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Sector-3 Gangyal Mohalla residents also expressed their gratitude to Billawaria for the development work done earlier.
Ranjeet Singh, Jugal Kishore, Jatinder Singh, Preet Pal Singh, GS Suri, Dilip Bhatt, Naresh Gupta, Dr Sunny, Madan Lal, Omkar Kumar and other dignitaries were also present.
