JAMMU, Feb 23: Baldev Singh Billawaria Chairman, Public Health Sanitation Committee of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) visited Ward No. 50 and kick started fencing work of Nallah opposite Gurudwara Guru Ka Bagh at Channi Himmat Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion Billawaria said it is endeavor of JMC to cover every Nallah in the city in coming days. He said that the residents of the area should avoid throwing any Kachra of their houses into the Nallah and try their best to keep their surroundings neat and clean.
Billawaria also said that Channi Himmat Housing Colony is inhabited by well read people who are quite aware of the importance of maintaining good hygiene and sanitation. He said that it should be our endeavor to keep our colonies as clean as possible so that the dream of “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan” cherished by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi is realised.
Local Corporator, Neena Gupta said that the development of lanes and drains in Ward No. 50 is going on. She said that now people will not have to bother for any development work because many sanctioned works from the Corporation will soon solve the developmental problems of Ward No. 50. Manjeet Singh, Guru Ka Bagh Gurudwara, Rajinder Singh Sudan, Parminder Singh, K.K Uppal, Balwan Singh and some other prominent citizens of Channi Himmat also accompanied Billawaria.
Later Billawaria kick started the work of installation of new street lights in Ward No.56 at Gangyal. He said that it is the endeavor of JMC to completely eliminate darkness from the streets of Jammu. He said that sophisticated street lights fitted with ultra modern LED bulbs will be installed in Ward No. 56 at Gangyal in the next 2 or 3 days which will enlighten the whole area, never been before by anyone.
Billawaria also said in case no street light is installed at any pole in Ward No. 56, he can personally be contacted to ensure installation of lights. Harbans Chaudhary, B.S Baghi, Ranjit Singh, Randhir Baloria, Rakesh Sangral, Om Nath, Mulkh Raj, Hardeep Singh, Pawan Chib, Yash Raj and some other prominent citizens of Gangyal also accompanied.
