JAMMU, Nov 26: A bike rider was killed today when his two-wheeler was hit by a speeding truck in Sidhra area of city outskirts.
“The mishap occurred this morning at about 11:45 on National Highway at Dingali, Sidhra,” a police official said. He said in the mishap, bike rider namely Anil Singh (32) son of Gurnam Singh, resident of Arnia, received grievous injuries and was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he was declared as brought dead by the doctors.
The official said that after autopsy the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites while a case in this connection was registered at police station Nagrota and investigation started.
