SAMBA, Mar 4: A biker was killed while his pillion rider was injured when their bike got slipped near Power House Samba.
“During the intervening night, a motorcycle bearing registration number PB07U- 1759 coming from SIDCO side, on reaching near Power House, Samba got slipped due to which both rider and pillion rider received serious injuries,” a police official said.
He said the injured persons were rushed to District Hospital, Samba, where bike rider Deepak Kumar (35) son of Shiv Dass, resident of Ward No 2, Samba was declared as brought dead by the doctors while pillion rider, Rocky Kumar son of Vijay Kumar, resident of Ward No 2, Samba, is still under treatment in the Hospital.
“Today after autopsy of the deceased person, his body was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites while police had taken cognizance of the matter,” the official added.
