KATHUA, Apr 25: A motorcyclist died after he was hit by a rashly driven truck at Barwal Morh area on the National Highway near Kathua district today.
The deceased has been identified as Vijay Bharat Singh of Kharote.
Reports said a bike (JK02B-5282) was hit a speedy truck (PB65AZ-0345) near Barwal Morh area in Kathua district, resulting in death of the person riding the bike.
While the body has been shifted to the mortuary of a local hospital for conducting the post-mortem examination, a case under the relevant sections of the law has been registered at the concerned police station to further investigate into the matter.
However, the truck involved in the accident has been seized its driver had not been arrested by the police till the press time.
