NOWSHERA, Oct 10: A bike rider was killed while his pillion rider seriously injured when their motor-cycle skidded off the road and fell into a gorge near here this evening.
A police spokesman said that one Alfaz Ahmed, student of 12th class (19), son of Zakir Hussain, resident of Badoon in Nowshera was killed on the spot while his associate, Mohd Sajid (15), son of Abdul Haq, resident of Bhatta was seriously injured when their bike No. JK11A/7672, rolled down into a gorge. The boys were on way to Lam from Rajouri. The injured was rushed to hospital at Nowshera and the dead body of the deceased after postmortem was handed over to the family. The police has taken cognizance of the matter.
