REASI, Dec 23: A young biker rider was crushed to death by a speeding Bolero vehicle at Bhaga-Sirla on Katra Reasi road this evening.
A police spokesman giving details said that mishap took place at around 7.20 pm, when 32-years old Raj Singh, son of Suram Singh, resident of Sirla was returning home on his motor-cycle No. JK-14/9981 from Katra side. Bolero No. JK-20/0764 was on way to Katra from Reasi.
As the boy moved from the main road to the link road leading to his village, his bike was strongly knocked by the Bolero causing massive injuries. The people rushed to the site. The Bolero driver and his associates lifted the victim from road and rushed to Katra hospital. The doctors declared him as dead.
The police said that the driver along with Bolero vehicle slipped away and he could not be traced at hospital and even in the Katra town. A case was registered against him by Katra police. The police party was looking for him.
