RAMBAN, July 21: A young man was killed this afternoon when a motorcycle he was riding collided with a tipper in the Chanderkote area on Srinagar-Jammu National Highway.
According to the reports, a motor bike (bearing Registration Number JK19A-3870) riding in a rash and negligent manner by Mohammad Khalil son of Mohd Shafi, resident of Dhalwass (Ramban) collided with a BEACON tipper at Kunfer, Chanderkote on the Highway, resulting in serious head injuries to the rider.The injured bike rider was immediately rushed to District Hospital Ramban where he succumbed.
SHO Police Station Chanderkote Inspector Padam Dev Singh said that after conducting postmortem and other legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his family for last rites while a case FIR Number 108 of 2023 under Sections 279 and 304 IPC was registered at Police Station Chanderkote.
