Kathua, Oct 10: Chief patron of NPP Prof Bhim Singh today paid visit to several border villages of Kathua and Hiranagar and interacted with the people displaced from their houses.
Earlier, Bhim Singh attended a district party leaders meeting at Kathua and interacted with district leadership including Ajay Singh, District president, Rajesh Kamal and Ram Saran Dogra, vice-presidents, Balbir Singh, District president Young Panthers, Legal Aid Secretary, Miss Appu Singh advocate, senior member Working Committee and former District president Jagdev Khajuria.
General secretary Anita Thakur and State president Young Panthers and former minister Yashpal Kundal, State secretary, Rajinder Singh Manju, Arun Khajuria, Block president Samba were also present in the meeting.
The Panthers Party team moved from Kathua, Hiranagar, Babia, Sarthtian, Chatwal, Mawa-Rehan. The Panthers Party leadership interacted with the local residents of International border (between India and Pakistan) and heard their sad miseries.
Bhim Singh said that the residents of the border including women and children demonstrated strong courage to resist the enemy attack. They refused the dictates of the district administration to leave their homes and cattle and the mercy of the aggressors and remained inside their houses in spite of the shells and firing from Pakistan side.
NPP leader said that the people from this border belt pressed only for shelters beyond the firing range. Bhim Singh assured that the Panthers Party shall fight for their cause of providing five marla of land to each family along international border and LoC.
