Bhim Singh for drastic amendment in IPC, Indian Constitution

UDHAMPUR, Apr 10:  Prof Bhim Singh, NPP candidate from Udhampur Parliamentary constituency today announced that if elected to Lok Sabha, he shall mobilize the opinion within the Parliament to introduce drastic amendments in the British made Indian Panel Code (IPC) and the Constitution of India according to the present socio cultural situation in the country.
Addressing a number of public meetings in Udhampur and Billawar, he said that one country cannot have two Constitution or two flags.  “This change is essential in the interest of security, integrity and sovergnity of the country.  This is possible by amending Article 35A and 370, Mr Singh explained.
The NPP candidate also favoured that there should be no detention without trial and life imprisonment should not exceed 20 years.  “Deterrence is no solution to end crimes or violence in the society,” he said and promised to introduce improvements or amendments in the representation of the Peoples Act which was enforced during the time of British Rule.
Prof Bhim Singh also promised to ensure social security as has been achieved in many democratic countries where all the unemployed youth have been provided social security.   He accused BJP of floating dangerous precedents by diluting a political party in the name of one person.  This shall cause a threat to Parliamentary system.
