Bhim Singh briefs JKNPP on APM

JAMMU, June 30: President, J&K National Panthers Party (JKNPP), Prof. Bhim Singh here today chaired the Working Committee meeting of the party and briefed the members on proceedings of All Party Meet (APM) convened by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi at New Delhi.
Prof. Singh reiterated the stand of JKNPP that Accession of J&K State to the Union of India has not been ratified till date by the Parliament of India as has been done for 575 princely States which signed the same Instrument of Accession to the Union of India.
He claimed that he urged the PM to convene the Parliament as a Constituent Assembly to ratify and accept J&K Instrument of Accession and include the J&K State into Union of India constitutionally.
Bhim Singh also demanded immediate restoration of Statehood to J&K and Ladakh as it existed on August 5, 2019 that included J&K and Ladakh as its constituents.
“After restoration of Statehood the Governor shall constitutionally hold brief delimitation of the constituencies of the State and hold elections,” he maintained adding that census of 2021 to be used as the basis for fresh delimitation and Assembly elections thereafter.
P.K Ganju, Sr. Vice President; Anita Thakur, General Secretary; Capt. Anil Gour, Neeraj Dewan, Naresh Chib, Rajesh Gupta and others were also present in the meeting.
