JAMMU, Jan 3: Union Minister in PMO with Independent charge of Ministries of Science & Technology and Earth Sciences, Dr Jitendra Singh has been appointed as BJP’s Election Officer for Himachal Pradesh to supervise the organisational election for the State president and National Council Members.

The Party has appointed former MP from Haryana, Sanjay Bhatia as organisational election incharge for J&K UT while former Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh and Opposition Leader in HP Assembly, Jairam Thakur has been appointed as election incharge for Ladakh UT.
The appointments were made by party high command in New Delhi today.
The three senior BJP leaders have been tasked with supervising the election of State/UT presidents and National Assembly members, which are critical steps in the BJP’s organizational framework, the party leaders said
The party’s constitution mandates that elections in at least 50% of States/UTs should be completed before the national president is elected, with a deadline of January 15, 2025.
