Bhat asks Govt to settle migrants’ demands, dharna continues at Jagti

JAMMU, Sept 13: The dharna of relief holders continued at Jagti and in front of Relief Organisation today. To garner support the relief holders from Jagti today visited TRT Butta Nagar and Purkhoo and urged the camp people to join the  ongoing agitation launched by them for enhancement of relief.
Addressing the protestors Ajay Bhat said that the dharna will continue till demand is settled. He reiterated that the agitation may take a critical turn after September 22 if demand was not settled by that time. He warned those elements who were misleading the community about the ongoing agitation and said that such people will not be tolerated.
Vijay Kaul another camp leader appealed all organizations to join the present struggle by winding up their individual shops.
Meanwhile, PDP MLA from Bandipora, Nizam-ud-Din Bhat and Migrant Cell leader of the party S K Raina have expressed grave concern over the Government’s apathy towards the displaced people from Valley.
In a joint statement issued here today they urged the Government to settle the genuine demands of migrants including enhancement of cash relief and providing facilities at Jagti and other camps.
Mr Bhat demanded construction of more shopping complexes at Jagti and other TRTs for rehabilitation of over aged migrant youth and traders.
