JAMMU, Mar 18: Elections for Bharat Vikas Parishad, J&K Prant were held today in which Amita Sharma was elected as president, T.C Taggar as general secretary and Shiv Ram Sharma as finance secretary for two years from the year 2019-21.
A handout stated that the elections were held at Bal Niketan, Ambphalla in which Kumud Mehta, regional secretary was the observer and Sushil Sharma was special invitee.
Office bearers of 24 branches of Parishad elected the new team.
The outgoing team was given warm send off.
Those who were present on the occasion were Parishad’s regional secretaries-Dev Raj Sharma, Dr. Santosh Gupta and Arun Sharma; patrons-S.N Sharma and R.C Sharma; Prantiya organising secretary, Er. Gopal Sharma besides founder members Yuvraj Gupta, Jagdish Sharma and Rajesh Baru from Reasi apart from presidents, secretaries and treasurers from various branches.
