REASI, May 1: Continuing his outreach to the farming community, JKPCC Kissan Congress Chairman Bharat Priye addressed an impressive gathering of farmers at village Mansu, here today, highlighting pressing agrarian concerns and calling for immediate Government attention to safeguard the interests of cultivators.
The meeting witnessed active participation from several prominent Congress leaders, including District Congress President Ajay Salalia, District Kissan Congress President Kamal Singh, senior leader Bishan Magotra, and Youth President Maninder Sharma, along with a large number of local farmers.
During the interaction, farmers raised a range of burning issues affecting their livelihoods, including inadequate irrigation facilities, rising input costs, lack of timely access to fertilizers and seeds, poor market linkages, and insufficient Government support.
Bharat Priye listened to the grievances in detail and assured the gathering that their concerns would be strongly taken up with the concerned authorities. He urged the Government to adopt farmer-friendly measures, ensure fair pricing for produce, and enhance infrastructural support to improve productivity and sustainability.
