JAMMU, Nov 5: Asserting that Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory is witnessing an era of unprecedented development, the District Development Council (DDC) Jammu Chairperson, Bharat Bhushan Bodhi has reiterated that equitable development of all areas is the main concern of BJP Government at the Centre for which he said it is inevitable to pay focussed attention on proper road connectivity.
The DDC Chairman stated this while addressing a gathering during a function in Domana area today. On the occasion he kick started the macadamization of 1.5 Km road length from Punu Di Hatti to Domana main road via Flora village. He was accompanied by the DDC Member, Marh, Balbir Kumar, BDC Chairman, Surinder Kumar, Sarpanch, Vandhana Kumari and prominent people besides locals of the area.
On the occasion, Bharat Bhushan informed that the macadamization of this road is being carried out under the City -Town Scheme and this project shall be completed at an estimated cost of Rs. 20 lakh. He said that moving ahead with the agenda of overall development of every nook and corner across the nation the District Development Councils are contributing in this direction at the grass roots level to augment the movement started by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi led Government to transform the world’s largest democracy.
The DDC Chairman also lauded the Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha for leaving no stone unturned in carrying forward the priority schemes and projects launched by the Centre from time to time. He said it is the result of synchronized efforts of the Union Government and the UT administration that Jammu and Kashmir is today witnessing unprecedented number of developmental projects on ground and that too being carried out at unprecedented pace.
The former MLA said that there are a number of developmental projects in the pipeline and these will be translated on ground in the coming time as part of the ongoing era of exceptional development in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
