Bhandari for compensation to flood victims on Uttrakhand analogy

KISHTWAR, Sept 26: Congress leader Randeep Bhandari demanded that the relief and rehabilitation measures in the flood-ravaged Jammu and Kashmir should be carried out on war footing and the compensation to be distributed among the flood victims on the analogy of Uttrakhand natural disaster.
In a statement issued, Bhandari said that the Government agencies, political parties, civil society and people especially the youth should work in coordination to erase the scars left by the devastating floods in various areas of Jammu and Kashmir.
He demanded that the Centre Government and State Government should provide house damage compensation on the analogy of Uttrakhand disaster.
He also urged the Central Government to announce special package for the flood affected people of Jammu and Kashmir.
