Bhalla voiced serious concern over the deteriorating socio-economic and civic conditions in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, stating that the people are grappling with multiple crises while the administration remains indifferent to their hardships.
Highlighting the alarming unemployment scenario, Bhalla said that joblessness among youth has reached unprecedented levels, pushing educated young men and women into frustration and uncertainty. He lamented that despite repeated assurances, recruitment processes are either delayed or mired in confusion, forcing many youths to migrate outside the region in search of livelihood.
He drew attention to the erratic water and power supply, particularly in Jammu province, where residents are facing acute drinking water shortages and prolonged power cuts.
Expressing resentment over the renaming and dilution of the MGNREGA scheme, Bhalla said that BJP Govt is hell bent to undermining its (Scheme) spirit by changing its nomenclature and failing to ensure timely wage payments, thereby, weakening rural employment and economic stability.
