Bhalla inaugurates 15-day trade fair

JAMMU, Jan 2: Minister for Housing, Horticulture and Culture Raman Bhalla has asked the unemployed youth of the State to avail optimum benefits of various employment generated schemes launched by the Government for their socio-economic upliftment.
This was stated by the Minister while addressing a gathering of unemployed youth after inaugurating 15-day long trade fair (Exhibition-cum-Sale) at Gandhi Nagar, here today.
Mr. Bhalla also went round the stalls installed by the traders and evinced his keen interest adding that such trade fairs prove beneficial for the people.
The Minister called for a change in the mind set of the unemployed youth to become job providers instead of job seekers. He said directions have been issued to officers to create massive awareness about different State and Centrally sponsored schemes and stressed upon the Panchs and Sarpanchs to render their services with utmost zeal and dedication.
The Minister said that local industry holds the required potential to ameliorate unemployment from the state and Industries Department is making all out efforts to provide employment to all the unemployed youth especially those residing in rural areas.
Mr Bhalka impressed upon officers present in the trade fair to ensure that benefits of various development and welfare schemes reach the real beneficiaries timely.
He said that such exhibitions are organized every year to provide a platform to the entrepreneurs to sell their products and share their expertise as well with the first hand entrepreneurs. He  said that J&K has better potential for industrial growth particularly in fruit, mineral, wood and leather industries.
Mr. Bhalla also called upon all the stake holders to contribute in maintaining peace in the state which was imperative for inviting big investments from the Industrialists of the country.
Later, Mr. Bhalla visited Sai Baba ji temple at Talab Tillo and attended the Bhajan Sandhya organised by the Sai Baba Ji Trust.
