Bhalla dedicates newly upgraded schools to public

JAMMU, Oct 24: Minister for Housing, Raman Bhalla today dedicated newly upgraded five Government High School (HS) to Government Higher Secondary School at Bathindi, Raipur Satwari, Chatta, Narwal Balla, Bhour Camp besides four Middle School to Government High School at Channi Himmat, Babliana, Beermeni in Sunjwan and Chatta.
After inaugurating the newly upgraded schools in various areas of the Gandhi Nagar, Mr. Bhalla said that Government is making all out efforts in spreading the reach of education upto one kilometre distance of every locality of the State. He informed that free education is being extended to Below Poverty Line students. Besides, Government provides free books, mid-day meal and uniforms he added saying that scores of schools have been opened and upgraded in every nook and corner of the State under RAMSA and SSA.
The Minister highlighted the role of the teachers and parents in the life of the children and stressed on the need of a strong partnership among them. He asked the students to work hard and achieve excellence in their objectives. He urged the younger generation to participate in co-curricular activities as they are essential for making the students physically and mentally fit.
Mr. Bhalla said Government is committed to develop every corner of the State on modern lines, adding that peace is a vital tool for taking the developmental to the logical conclusion. He said Government has ensured good governance for the effective implementation of various welfare programmes so that more and more people get benefitted.
The Minister said Government promulgated several acts like Right to Information Act, Public Service Guarantee Act etc by which the participatory involvement of people has been ensured in day-to-day governance. He said by these acts a common man can get the requisite services and information within the stipulated time.
Mr. Bhalla highlighted various reformative steps being taken up by the Government in making available all necessary basic amenities to the people of the State especially those living in rural and far-off pockets.
