Bhairav Ashtami celebrations conclude with Bhandara

JAMMU, Nov 17: The celebrations of annual Bhairav Ashtami festival concluded today at Pracheen Bhairav Mandir in Chowk Chabutra area of Jammu city with a Bhandara.
Mahant of the temple, Pandit Rumil Sharma informed that fire crackers were burnt and balloons were released on this occasion while Kanya Pujan ritual was also performed in the morning.
He further said that Hawan was accomplished today with Puran Ahuti ritual after which Bhandara was started and it continued till late in the evening in which many eatables were served to the devotees.
“Special Arti was organized today evening on the pattern of Ujjain,” Rumil Sharma said, adding that ‘Kashat Haran Stotar Paath’ was recited by the Sanskrit scholars at the temple yesterday.
The Mahant said that the temple will close today at midnight to reopen tomorrow morning in routine.
