JAMMU, Sept 15: To deal with drinking water scarcity in village Baggamarh Railway line, Gagian, Dravtey, Satsanghar Colony, Kabir Colony Ward No 9, SKUAST University, Kothey Gagian, MLA RS Pura and Political Advisor to CM, Dr Gagan Bhagat today laid foundation of deep drill tube well under LIC RS Pura Town Water Supply Scheme with three Tube wells to be completed at a cost of Rs 431 lakhs.
Addressing a large gathering at village Baggamarh Railway line, Dr Gagan Bhagat said on the commissioning of tube well, the drinking water scarcity in these areas would be solved to a large extent. He said the Government is committed to provide adequate drinking water facilities to every inhabitation of the State with a population of 1000 souls by digging deep drill tube wells.
For providing adequate drinking water facilities to the people of his home constituency, Dr Bhagat said Government has already commissioned 5 tube wells under State plan to ensure that no household remains without this vital facility. He called upon the people not to waste drinking water and use it judiciously.
Responding to the locals demand, Dr Bhagat said Government has earmarked more than Rs 3 crore for road widening and macadamization of several important internal links within RS Pura Constituency along with upgradation and creation of six Electric Sub Stations at Villages Kirpind, Khour, Baggamarh, Chak Alowal, Gagian and Banota.
He stressed upon the executing agency to redouble their efforts and accelerate pace of all ongoing works in their respective jurisdictions. He also asked the inhabitants to protect public properties in their respective areas, adding that Government has been spending crores of rupees for developing every corner of the State on modern lines by creating concrete assets.
Dr Gagan Bhagat asked the officers to reach the people and resolve their problems without any hindrances.
