Bhaddu residents’ delegation calls on Advisor Sharma

KATHUA, Aug 2: A delegation of Bhaddu Panchayat in Billawar tehsil of Kathua district led by S K Spolia, ex-sarpanch, Bhaddu met Adviser to Lieutenant Governor, Kewal Kumar Sharma, at Mandli (Billawar) and demanded construction of Phinter -Bhaddu road and Guesthouse at Bhaddu the tenders for which were called long back.
The delegation informed the Advisor to Governor that announcement was made last year for widening of Phinter -Bhaddu road and construction of guesthouse at Bhaddu. The concerned PWD Department took action and even the tenders were advertised by Executive Engineer, PWD Basholi and accordingly works were allotted to the contractors but could not be executed due to non-allotments of the funds.
The Advisor heard the grievances and assured for the allotment of the funds to finalize both the works at an earliest.
Secondly, the representation was also given to him by aggrieved people who were affected due to construction of Ujh Multipurpose Dam Project for the redressal of their grievances like proper compensation and resettlement etc. They also submitted a memorandum to him in this regard and demanded his intervention in settlement of the demands at the earliest.
