Jammu, Feb 24: On the direction of Lt Governor’s Secretariat, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University, Rajouri today disbanded the University Teachers Association (BGSBUTA).
According to an order in this regard, issued by the University Registrar, BGSBUTA was formed without any statutory provision and prior permission of the university authorities and hence disbanded abinitio.
Besides, the university has also sought explanation of the BGSBUTA Executive Body members for their indulgence in activities of the self styled Association.
“Your activities with regard to so called BGSBUTA are in violation of Code of Conduct of Teachers/Employees as per provisions of the university calendar, statutes, rules, regulations as well as conduct rules of the Government. You are required to explain your position regarding the aforementioned matter within a period of seven days for further consideration of the competent authority,” said the notice , issued by Registrar Mohd Ishaq, in pursuance to instructions received from Lt Governor’s Secretariat vide LGS/2/BGSBU/2021/890 dated 17-02-2021.
