Jammu, Aug 7: Bahu Fort Development Committee (BFDC) held a protest demonstration against Jammu Development Authority (JDA) and Government for their apathetical attitude towards development in the Bahu Fort area.
The protestors led by president of the committee Rajeev Charak raised slogans against the Government and JDA.
While interacting with media persons, Rajeev Charak said that during the days of Navratras the pilgrims and the local people of the area have to face hardships due to non-availability of parking space for vehicles.
Charak asked the Gover-nment and JDA for widening of roads or provide some alternate space for parking of vehicles.
“We are demanding Shrine Board for Shri Mata Maha Kali Temple Bahu since 1999 but the Government and Governor have shown no intention to constitute a Shrine Board”, he added.
While speaking Ishant Gupta, spokesman said that Shri Mata Maha Kali Temple and areas of Bahu Fort are lacking many facilities such as sarai, passenger sheds, parking facilities etc. He said that the constitution of Board is the only way out to solve all these problems.
Hardesh Kumar Khokher, vice president, asked the Government and JDA to look into the matter and take immediate steps for redressing the problems.
