JAMMU, Feb 6: Bahu Fort Development Committee has demanded action against the Ministers, politicians and officers involved in the land grabbing and also supporting the land mafia men.
In a meeting of the BFDC held here under the chairmanship of Rajeev Charak, the members expressed serious concern over the way the land mafia men are growing stronger. They said several Ministers and senior officers were found involved in the land grabbing and against some of them, several cases are pending but unfortunately no action has been taken against any of them so far.
Mr Charak pointed out that huge Forest, JDA and State land has been encroached upon in Sidhra, Raika, Bahu Fort, Bathindi, Chatta and Sunjuwan area but several Government agencies succumbed to the pressure from within the Government and also from politicians. The State has failed to protect its land and the weak action on the part of Government is encouraging the land grabbing.
