He said that the clerics have a great role to play. “There is a need for keeping the youngsters on the right track. If we want to change, there is a need for bringing change on the individual level, which then manifests at the larger level”, he added.
Sinha said that the youngsters need to work for the development of J&K because conspiracies are being hatched to not let them do that. “There is a drug menace on; people with nefarious designs are doing everything possible to push the youth towards drug addiction”, he added.
He said that the organizers of the function have taken a big step. “This is a new, good and big step that you have taken. This will result in something worthwhile. God has created us with love but then what makes one digress? It is something that deserves introspection and the event which has been conducted today is a step towards understanding that”, he added.
The LG said that soon after joining Kashmir on 7th August 2020, the development was visible on ground.
“Kashmir is witnessing overall development in the electricity sector, education sector as well as in other sectors. 2026 will be the year of Jammu and Kashmir,” he added.
He said that the power scenario has been improving in Kashmir with every passing day. “A total of 3450 MW of electricity is generated in J&K, with the start of 2026, the same is going to be doubled as we have been working in that direction. By 2026, J&K will be self-reliant in the power sector”, he added.
“The pace of road construction and macadamization has been tripled across JK. The hopes and aspirations of people have increased manifold with time. People are demanding road connectivity, they are demanding repair and construction of roads,” he said.
“PMGSY phase 2 is on, under which villages where the population is 250 are to be covered. I have asked the PM that the construction of roads in 100 villages is on in J&K and that there is a need for letting J&K complete that. The PM has promised that the villages will not be left out at any cost”, he said.
“I have inaugurated 3 feeders in Srinagar catering to 5900 consumers. It has been decided that the consumers on these 3 feeders will be provided with round the clock electricity. With time, the same is going to be increased to ensure round the clock electricity”, he said.
“We buy the electricity by paying Rs 6000 cr and in return, we are getting Rs 2600 cr. This is not going to continue because those who are not paying have to pay and those who are paying for electricity should get round the clock electricity”, he added.
“If we see the Budget closely, Govt of India will be spending 950 Dollars per individual in J&K. At the same time, what do people get in PoK? The Government is spending just 78 dollars per individual there”, he said.
The LG said that J&K has got a huge pool of talent and in that, girls have been doing wonders. “At the convocation of Islamic University recently, over 70 per cent of gold medals were secured by girls. They should be our role models”, he added.
Several dignitaries, civil society members and youth discussed Pandit exodus and rectifying past mistakes at the Conference.
The other issues discussed in the conference were role of religious leaders in de-radicalization and role and responsibility of civil society to counter radicalization. The role of the media to build a right narrative was also discussed in the conference.
Speaking at the conference, Sheikh Muzaffar said although there is a downfall in the militant activities all across the Kashmir but the indoctrination and radicalisation of Kashmir youth by Pakistan is worrisome and methods to counter these tactics used by Pakistan is need of the hour.

They said that job opportunities should be created expeditiously by giving a boost to tourism and developing infrastructure.
Chief Patron J&KNPF Sanjay Kumar told reporters that the Government is working hard for the overall development of Kashmir. “It’s now the responsibility of people especially youth to come forward and make the change visible on ground and to touch the heights”, he added.
