Benefits of 74th amendment visible at grass root level: Baru

JAMMU, Sept 3: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is committed to strengthen Urban Local Bodies by ensuring every requisite step in the service of masses at large. And benefits of 74th amendment would now seem visible at grass root level by the public representatives in close coordination with JKUT administration, said senior BJP leader and Jammu & Kashmir Urban Local Body Cell convener, Sanjay Kumar Baru.
Baru also put forth his demand for more infrastructure and additional funds while chairing the meeting of BJP Councilors at BJP district office Reasi.
BJP senior leader and president Municipal Council, Reasi, Sudesh Puri, vice president, Yog Raj Raina and BJP Urban Local Bodies Cell, district co-convener, Dheeraj Gupta among other prominent attended the meeting.
Addressing the meeting Sanjay Baru said that witnessing the unprecedented development in whole of Jammu & Kashmir UT, terrorists are frustrated. He said that those enemies of humankind will never succeed in their evil designs and soon our security forces will neutralize them all.
Sanjay Baru said that whereas, on the initiatives of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi 73rd and 74th amendments were incorporated in J&K, but still 74th amendment is not fully implemented and benefits of these amendments would be taken at grass root level. He requested LG of J&K Manoj Kumar Sinha that those responsible for this dilly dallying approach be identified and taken strict action upon. Excellent steps being taken by LG are not fully supported by certain persons for their own vested or regional interests, he rued.
Baru also demanded that the office infrastructure and man power be increased at all the Municipal Councils and committees for the effective development works.
Sanjay Baru further added there are many pending DPRs lying unattended concerning development work in various areas and requested to LG that additional funds may please be released to ease out the public mitigations. He also put his point for the effective drainage system in Jammu and demanded for additional scheme on the pattern of “Amrut”.
