SRINAGAR, Dec 4: Scores of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) students staged protests against the Kashmir University (KU) authorities for delaying the examination of their optional paper which was cancelled after authorities found that students were involved in mass copying.
The students said that their optional paper was cancelled in center number 120, 121, 122 at Ramzana College, Gulshan Nagar, Nowgam for reported mass copying of about 300 students.
“Only few students were found copying on October 28, but we don’t know why optional paper in all the three centers was cancelled,” they said.
The students also demanded that KU authorities should first suspend all the staff on examination duty in these centers who facilitated copying by influential candidates and then should identify those students who were caught copying.
The students also demanded if their paper stands cancelled then KU should conduct re-examination of the same paper within short span of time to save their precious one time.
Controller Examination, KU, Prof A Salam Bhat said the students were found mass copying in these centers that was why all the three centers at Ramzana College, Gulshan Nagar were cancelled.
