Srinagar, Apr 23: A wild bear was spotted at Anzwalla in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district, causing panic among residents this morning.
A local said that bear was spotted in the village this morning at around 7:30 am and soon wildlife officials were informed immediately. “We rushed our team to capture the bear without any loss,” said a wildlife department official.
He said that people didn’t cooperate with wildlife department and instead pelted stones against the bear, hampering work of the officials. “We couldn’t overcome the bear because of peoples’ non-cooperation,” he added.
