JAMMU, Apr 29: Bari Brahmana Industries Association has expressed strong resentment against the annual maintenance cost imposed by J&K SIDCO on the industrial units.
A emergency meeting of Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA) was held under the leadership of Lalit Mahajan in presence of Tarun Singla, senior vice president, Ajay Langer vice president, Viraaj Malhotra general secretary, Rajesh Jain secretary and Vivek Singhal treasurer in which the matter related to annual maintenance cost imposed by J&K SIDCO vide order No- SIDCO/ROJ/22/02 dated 13-04-2022 to existing units discussed in details.
The members present in the meeting raised serious concern over the issue of annual maintenance cost imposed by J&K SIDCO at the rate of Rs 3000 per annum for MSME Sector and Rs 5000 per annum per unit for rest of category as approved by the Board of Director Meeting held on 29-03-2022 which we termed as unjustified as SIDCO already collected lease rent on annual basis as per the Lease Deed but failed to maintain the Industrial Estate for which lakhs of rupees spending per annum from the rental charges collected as lease rent on annual basis and it is the responsibility of the J&K SIDCO to provide the adequate workforce to maintain the Industrial Estates.
The BBIA further drawn the attention of Lt Governor Manoj Sinha that previously the Chairman Federation of Industries Jammu/Kashmir always nominated as Board Members of the J&K SIDCO/SICOP Board to highlight the issues related to the Industrial Estates but since long the nomination of Chairman Federation of Industries Jammu/ Kashmir has been withdrawn from the Board of Directors of J&K SIDCO/ SICOP for the reason best known to the Department resulting no representation of stake holders in the Corporation Board.
BBIA requested the Lt Governor Manoj Sinha and Vivek Bhardwaj, Principal Secretary Industries & Commerce Department for their kind intervention for the immediate withdrawal of the Order No. SIDCO/ROJ/22/02 dated 13-04-2022 which will provide relief to the existing units working in JKUT in spite of all the odds and issue necessary directions to the Managing Director J&K SIDCO/SICOP for the nomination of Chairman Federation of Industries Jammu/Kashmir in the Board of the Corporation for proper representation of Industrial Sector.
