Batwal community urges Govt to resolve its issues

JAMMU, Aug 31: A meeting of the Batwal community was held today at Bishnah under the chairmanship of Des Raj Kaith, wherein they urged the Lieutenant Governor to resolve its all demands which was sent to Raj Bhawan a month ago by them.
The main demands enshrined in the memorandum were sanctioning of economic cum employment package to community based on their ethnographic study undertaken in 1994, and naming of Schools or Buildings or Roads or Bridges after Vir Chakra awardee Lance Naik Mohan Lal Lakhotra and Havildar Chuni Lal Sandhu, who made supreme sacrifices for the nation.
They said that the Government should do justice with the ignored sections of the society.
