Batwal Association celebrates Silver Jubilee

JAMMU, Jan 3: Amid ecstatic fervour and enthusiasm, the Jammu and Kashmir Batwal Welfare Association (JKBWA) celebrated its Silver Jubilee (25th foundation day) by organizing an impressive function at Dei Chack Bhadrore (near Ghou-Manhassan), today.
The programme commenced with lighting of ceremonial lamp. Attending the function, R L Kaith cited the achievements and good work done by the Association in the last 25 years.
President of the Association, Subedar Major (Retd) Romesh Sargotra said that the actual success of the Association is the achievement of its members who remain on call 24 hours a day round the year.
The occasion was also graced by general secretary Ram Lal Lakhotra and Dr Ramesh Kumar Kaith. The Association presented Dr Ramesh the ‘Medal of Honour’ for earning PhD in Geology and wished him all the best for future.
Association Chairman Kamal Singh Kaith presented the vote of thanks. The function concluded with National Anthem.
