JAMMU, Dec 17: Jammu District Junior Basketball Championship organised by Jammu District Basketball Association under the Aegis of Jammu & Kashmir Basketball Association concluded at the Basketball Arena MA Stadium here today.
Aman Sharma former Indian Basketball Coach and Gurpreet Handa were the guests of honour for the event.
The final in the Girls Section was played between STC Terriers and STC Warriors in which STC Warriors registered win by 50:30. The Boys final was played between STC Warriors and STC Terriers in which STC Warriors emerged winner by 61:52. Among the girls, Chitreshi won the best player award scoring 26 points and among the boys the best player award was shared between Vishvajeet and Jayant with both of them scoring 17 points each.
The officials for the championship were Praveen, Rohan, Kunal, Amanjot, Shubham, Jaskirat and Abhinav.
Secretary J&K Basketball Association Dr Vikram Handa and Ashok Singh Jamwal, Treasurer of J&K Basketball Association were also present on the occasion.
