JAMMU, Nov 27: Senior BJP leader and JMC Councillor, Sanjay Baru today inaugurated blacktopping work at Colonel Colony area of Ward-41. Ward president, Ashok Wazir; Jatin Sethi, Vinod Wazir, AEE S. Gurcharan Singh, Naresh Gupta, Rajesh Gupta, Dr. Paramu, English Singh, Praveen Kumar, Vicky Supervisor, William Christ, Sanjay Sharma and other prominent citizens were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Baru said that blacktopping of all pending streets will be done in Colonel Colony, Chaman Vihar and Hazuri Bagh area of Ward-41 which would involve cost of Rs. 47 lakh.
He further said that much pending work of blacktopping of Kamla Palace road is also being executed in the same tender and thanked Sushma Chauhan, Deputy Commissioner Jammu for her personal intervention to get this road fit for blacktopping which was pending for shifting of electric poles and construction of UEED Nallah.
Baru said that efforts should be made to stop drainage water coming on road through ramps or otherwise so that damage to the newly constructed road could be avoided.
