JAMMU, Apr 15: Senior BJP leader and former JMC Councillor, Sanjay Kumar Baru along with BJP Shakti Kendra Parmukhs-Bubesh Sharma, Rajan Radhey and local leader Jatin Sethi, here today listened to the grievances of the residents of Colonel Colony and adjoining areas at Talab Tillo Bohri.
The local raised the issue of difficulties arising from delays in the ongoing sewerage work in Ward 41.
They informed that due to rainfall, numerous potholes have formed in the lanes where sewerage work was carried out, making it difficult to drive the vehicles or to walk.
Some residents urged for the prompt cleaning of the drain and de-silting of main Durga Nagar and Kabir Colony Nallah before the onset of the monsoon season. People also raised the issue of up-gradation of some lanes and drains.
After listening to the issues, Baru said that while the JMC has initiated door to door garbage collection, some people pile up the garbage indiscriminately at various places.
He ensured the residents for early completion of ongoing work of sewerage project and de-silting of the Nallah before rainy season.
Bubesh Sharma, Onkar Verma, Babu Ram, Lokesh Bhagat, Viney Dogra, Brijesh Sharma, Kulvir Singh Chib, Kamal Kumar, former Colonel Colony Welfare Association president, Angrez Singh and local residents were also present at the occasion.
