JAMMU, Feb 15: The members of the Bar Association RS Pura suspended court work to lodge their protest against the registration of FIR against senior member of the Bar Ranjit Singh Chib.
While speaking, Som Parkash Sharma, President, Bar Association, RS Pura said that the police have registered FIR against Ranjit Singh Chib under Section 332, 504 and 506 RPC on false and frivolous grounds.
“No such act has been committed by the said Bar member as alleged in the FIR and should be cancelled”, he added.
“We requested SHO and SDPO RS Pura to shift the naka from Daljit Chowk to Badyal Morh as it is creating problems for the people and doctors visiting the hospital as well as advocates working in RS Pura Court. Both the police officials had assured us that action will be taken in this regard after Republic Day, but nothing has been till today”, Sharma informed.
