JAMMU, Feb 15: A delegation of Sanskrit scholars called on Principal Secretary to Governor J&K Pardip Kumar Tripathi at Raj Bhawan Jammu and discussed with him the hardships being faced by the Sanskrit scholars.
The delegation, led by Kailakh Jyotish Aavim Vedic Sansthan Trust chairman Dr Chander Mouli Raina and Trust president Mahant Rohit Shastri, appealed Pardip Kumar Tripathi to direct GAD department to pass a circular that Acharaya degree of Sanskrit is equivalent to M A Sanskrit and to recognise the Acharaya degree of Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan (Deemed University ) Shri Ranbir Campus Kot Bhalwal Jammu so that scholars of this university may get Government jobs.
On this occasion, Dr Chander Mouli Raina and Mahant Rohit Shastri also presented a Ragvendra Panchang to Pardip Kumar Tripathi.
Principal Secretary to Governor assured the delegation that he would put their demands before Education Minister J&K.
The delegation comprised of Pt Ashani Shastri, Pt Vinay Shastri, Pt Parshotam Shastri, Pt K K Shastri, Pt Ram Pal Shastri, Pt Naresh Shastri, Pt Rattan Shastri and others.
