UDHAMPUR, Dec 29: To review the performance of all banks in key area of deposits and advances for the quarter ending September- 2014, the District Level Review Committee cum District Consultative Committee (DLRC/DCC) meeting of bankers and district officers of various Government Departments of district Udhampur was held under the chairmanship of Additional District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, Ajay Singh Jamwal here today.
In the meeting, detailed review was held on various points which mainly include launching of DBTL scheme “PAHAL” for credit of LPG subsidy, financial inclusion Plan of Udhampur district viz Swabhimaan Campaign for coverage of villages with population>2000, provision of banking services to villagers with Population below 2000 & Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, issuance of KCC (bank wise).
Besides review of performance of banks under ACP, flow of credit to priority sector & weaker sections of the society, establishment of dairy units under NMPS, timely submission of lead bank data by banks, approval of potential linked credit plan-2015-16, approval of ACP -2015-16, functioning of FLC & R-SETI etc.
Stressing the greater need for generating awareness about different poverty alleviation schemes of the government, the ADDC exhorted upon the bankers to organize awareness camps especially in rural areas of the district by each bank so that rural masses may get aware about their financial inclusion schemes.
The ADDC advised all banks to complete the process of feeding ADHAR cards in the LPG consumer bank accounts on priority basis under the PAHAL DBTL scheme launched by LPG companies.
He stressed for better coordination for achieving the target under various schemes and would be seen at ground level for the welfare of rural masses.
During the meeting, Lead District Manager, M.K. Pandita informed the house that deposit of the district were Rs.2800.53 crore and advances were Rs 864.91 crore as on 30-09-2014 . The CD ratio of the district was 30.88%.Under ACP 2014-15 , the achievement of the banks was 28.97% against the annual target of Rs. 536.05 crore and the achievement was Rs 155.31 crore.
Manager RBI, Jammu Roshan Lal, Lead District Manager, M.K. Pandit, DDM, NABARD, Manohar Lal, Cluster Head, J&K Bank, Iqbal Singh, FLCC Councilor, Raghuver Kohli, bankers and officers of line departments attended the meeting.
