JAMMU, Dec 29: The students of AMT School enrolled in the year 2010 asked the GMC authorities to conduct their fourth year exams at the earliest otherwise they will launch agitation against them and for any untoward incident, they will be fully responsible.
The students including Kusum, Suraksha and Shallu of AMT School, GMC, enrolled in the year 2010 visited the EXCELSIOR office and narrated their plight.
“We got admission for 3 ½ years training course at AMT School GMC in the year 2010 and after appearing in the 3rd year exams, we were relieved from the college as our time period of the course got completed on November 30, 2013. But till date, our fourth year exams have not been conducted, which resulted into loss of over one year”, they added.
They further stated that the issue was taken with concerned authorities, but no attention was paid due to which the students lost their crucial over one year.
“Our training period is 3 ½ years and FMPHW training period is 1 ½ years. The authorities appointed MPFHW in GMC and Super Specialty Hospital (SSH). This is grave injustice with us. Conduct our exams and appoint us on FMPHW place”, they demanded.
The students appealed to the GMC authorities to conduct their exams and provide them jobs in place of MPFHW, so that their career could be saved.
They threatened to launch agitation, if their demands of conducting the exams and providing of jobs in GMC and SSH are not redressed.
When contacted, GMC Principal, Dr Ghansham Dev told the EXCELSIOR that they are conducting the exams in the month of April, 2015 so as to clear all the pending exams of AMT School students.
“All the necessary works regarding conduct of the examination have been chalked out and the date-sheet for the conduct of the exams of all the back-log batches will be notified in the time to come”, he added.
