SRINAGAR, Mar 12: Armed men this morning looted cash amounting to Rs 6 lakhs from a Jammu and Kashmir Bank Manager at Kapran area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district.
A group of gunmen stopped the Bank Manager traveling in his swift vehicle (JK18-8375) at Kapran in the South Kashmir district of Shopian. The gunmen looted around Rs 6 lakh cash from the vehicle and fled away from the spot.

Police said that an amount of Rs 6 lakh was robbed by armed robbers from a private vehicle of a J&K Bank employee at Kapran, Shopian.
“Police has taken cognisance into the matter and a case FIR number 72/2018 under Sections 395 RPC & 7/25 Arms Act has been registered. Investigation was taken up into the incident”, police said.
Police recorded the statement of the Manager and are investigating the case.
