JAMMU, Dec 4: To highlight the danger of growing bad loans and non-performing loans in the banks, Jammu Province Bank Employees Federation is going to observe ‘All India Demands Day’ on December 5.
The Federation members will observe the All India Demands Day by badge wearing and taking out rallies in support of the demands, which include; publishing the list of bank loan defaulters of Rs 1 crore and above, making willful default of bank loan a criminal offence, order investigation  to probe nexus and collusion, amend recovery laws, take stringent measures to recover bad loans and no incentivise corporate delinquency.
This was informed by the Federation in a handout, issued to media, here today.
Banks are dealing with the hard-earned savings of the people, which need to be safeguarded by proper regulations, said the Federation AIBEF general secretary Arun Kumar Gupta.
However, he added, in the name of reforms and liberalization, banking regulations are being de-regulated resulting into increase in bad loans in the banks where borrowers are taking loans and not repaying the same.
The Federation also released the data of NPAs in Public Sector banks for the last five year as well as the list of  top defaulters.
