Bani-Basholi, other roads remain closed due to land sliding

KATHUA, Aug 9:  The Bani, Basholi and Billawar road of Kathua district remained blocked due to heavy rainfall and landslide for hours together today.  The Billawar -Dayalachack road was also blocked at Galaxy and Dinga Amb due to heavy land sliding on the road in the morning hours.
The traffic was suspended on the road for more than two hours and long queues of the vehicles were seen on the both sides of the road putting commuters to many hardships.
After long wait a dozer was put into service  to clear the road.
The Bani -Basholi road was also closed for traffic movement at various locations on the stretch of 90 km due heavy rainfall and land sliding last night
The road was closed for over four hours at Jandrali,  Sukha  Nullah,  Pepaddi,  Manger and Beacon  area. Land sliding on the road in various location created trouble for passenger enroute to Bani and Kathua . The passengers had to wait for long till opening of road.
