* Kotranka people also start agitation

RAJOURI, Mar 10: While bandh in Nowshera continued on 23rd consecutive day today in support of district status, the people at Kalakote and Kotranka also observed bandh against Government decision of rotational ADCs while Sunderbani town remained open today.
Rejecting Govt decision of rotational Additional Deputy Commissioners for Nowshera, Kalakote areas of district Rajouri, the people of these towns held protests while at Kotranka the people also opposed this decision and claimed that they will not allow ADC Kotranka to move to Kalakote. This town also joined agitation today and observed complete bandh.
Sunderbani people though opened the market today, yet they held strong protest demonstration against the decision of the Government. The local JAC claimed that their protest will be continued till the Government revokes its decision.
The people of Nowshera town and adjoining areas assembled in the main bazaar in the morning and took out protest march. After passing through various markets, they reached dharna site in the tehsil complex. Several locals leaders addressed gathering and launched scathing attack on local leaders / legislators for their dubious role. The people raised slogans against local MLA and MLC besides BJP Ministers besides Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and PDP Minister, Ch Zulfkar Ali.
The people at Sunderbani town took out a large protest rally today. The rally started from main bazaar and it after passing through main chowk, it culminated at SDM’s office. The movement of vehicles was also disrupted for some time due to it. The people shouted slogans against BJP-PDP Govt.
Meanwhile, Kalakote town also observed bandh today seeking ADC’s post. Entire market remained closed in the town while vehicles plied on the roads normally. The Kalakote JAC led by Randhir Singh and Vijay Suri took out protest march in the town and then sat on dharna near Bus Stand. They have also rejected the Govt formula of rotational ADCs for Kotranka and Kalakote.
At Kotranka town, the people observed complete bandh. The people also took out protest rally during the day. They are also opposing rotational ADC for Kotranka and Kalakote. They demanded that Govt should review its decision.
