Balwant attends National Seminar in Bhopal

JAMMU, Nov 1: Director Natrang, Balwant Thakur, participated in the National Hindi Theatre Seminar which was held at Bharat Bhawan in Bhopal (MP).
Organised by Sumukha in association with National School of Drama, Union Ministry of Culture, and Bharat Bhawan, Bhopal, this major theatre event of the country featured a Hindi Seminar entitled ‘Hindi Main Moulik Natakon Ka Abhaav Kayon’ in which Balwant Thakur deliberated on the subject at length with 11 other eminent playwrights, theatre directors, and theatre critics.
Prominent amongst them included Daya Prakash Sinha, Pratap Sehgal, Ajeet Rai, Deepak Karanjikar, Alok Chattarji, Rajeev Verma and Anil Rastogi. While presenting his point of view on the subject, Balwant Thakur stressed on the need of promoting professionalism in theatre. He said that lack of quality and mediocrity is spoiling theatre in India to become a real movement.
